Creating a waitlist
Let's say you have Gastroenterologists and Dietitians in your practise, and you'd like to create a waitlist for Dietitian appointments.
1. You would go to Journeys --> Waitlists --> Add a Waitlist
2. You'd choose the name of your waitlist, and add a journey (which will then determine what should happen to people in your waitlist).
For example, you may want to have a ticket created for a staff member. When a patient is "granted access" (see below) they will be added to the journey you've defined below!
Adding patients to waitlists
Adding someone to a waitlist could occur in one of two ways:
1. Manually
2. Through an external trigger
In either case, when the patient is added to the waitlist, they take on a position #
Managing waitlists
Patients can be "Granted Access" (and thereby released from) waitlists in one of two ways. Granting patient access adds them to the journey you've set as part of the waiting list.
Manually, through the "Grant Access" manu, where you can choose how many of these patients should not be added to the journey defined in the Waitlist.
Automatically, through an external trigger. For example, the cancellation of an appointment could add the top 5 people from the waitlist to a journey which sends a text message to book an appointment!
