Connecting to Tellescope
Step 0: Pick a Webhook Secret
You will need to pick a Webhook Secret (basically, a password) which will be used in the following connection steps (both "API Key" and "Webhooks"). Pick that now, and keep it in a secure place until the connection process is complete.
Step 1: API Key
Generate an API Key in Develop Health for use in Tellescope
In the Integrations page in Tellescope, find the Develop Health card, click it, and save the API Key and the Webhook Secret you picked earlier
Step 2: Webhooks
In the same Admin Portal where you generated your Develop Health API Key, navigate to "Webhooks" and click "Add Webhook", using the following URL:
https://api.tellescope.com/v1/webhooks/develophealth
Make sure to provide the same Webhook Secret you picked earlier as the "Secret Key"
Include the events listed in the screenshot below
After defining the Webhook, make sure the "Status" is enabled:
When the above steps are complete, Tellescope will be able to send information to Develop Health, and Develop Health will be able to provide Tellescope with relevant updates as eligibility and prior auth results are generated.
Using Develop Health in Tellescope
Configuration
Organization Details
To submit requests to Develop Health, Tellescope needs to provide an organization name and Tax ID. These can be configured in your settings by a Tellescope admin.
Also, make sure to include an address for your business. This is included as a provider detail during submission.
User Details
Only Users who have a known NPI in Tellescope can be selected for an eligibility check. You can set an NPI for each User who should be included as an option for Develop.
Usage on Patient Profile
After Develop Health is connected, the Eligibility tab should be visible on patient profiles. Click the Develop Health button to submit data to Develop Health. Results sent back from Develop Health are reflected in the Eligibility Results table.
Clicking on a completed result allows you to see the approval statuses of each medication included in the eligibility check. Hovering over the Info icon to the right of the Copay text provides more detail (if any are provided).
Prior Auth integration from Tellescope is not currently supported but is on our roadmap
Automating Eligibility Checks
The "Develop Health: Medication Eligibility Check" Action can be used within a Journey to automate the submission of an eligibility check
The "Eligibility Result Received" Trigger Event activates when Develop Health finishes processing an eligibility check
If you want to communicate the results of an eligibility check to a patient, you can use the following template string to insert a summary of the eligibility results in a message: {{eligibility_result.summary}}
This template string currently only works in messages sent from a Journey which is triggered by the "Eligibility Result Received" event
Here's an example template:
